FSYNC: unbound variable ?

At the end of segment one of a test run using the dev/sfs branch, I hit the following error:

As far as I can tell everything ran successfully up until this point. I'm not sure where FSYNC should be set, or if it is maybe part of an archival option I should have turned off?
