Personally I'd like to see the option to make more things enabled/disabled, one notable thing is The Tools and Armor. Mods like Thermal Expansion already add copper armor and stuff, so the ability to be able to disable some of these and not others would be cool. It would mean we could keep things like Adamantite and Aquarium armors without having duplicates of Copper and Tin armor and such. (Same goes for tools)

Another thing would be the option to disable the custom models/textures for doors or iron blocks, as well as a way to disable the clumps, dirty dust, item casings and dense plates In case you don't have any mods that use them or similar items (EG in my modpack, I have no other versions of item casings and dense plates so it's a bit weird having them around but no use or way to make them)

Related: The ability to enable/disable Tinker's Construct registration on a per material basis. Some mods add their own versions/TCon implementations for the same materials. Would be nice to be able to choose which to use.

Another thing; Disabling, for example, Emerald Tools and Materials, should not disable things like End Emerald and Nether Emerald ore from spawning. Could we get a config option to disable tools and armor and all that, but keep the relevant normal/nether/end ore spawning?

This level of disabling is planned for the next major release (3.x) and is part of the extended configurability being worked on for that release
