The installation details on page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/package-manager/winget/?form=MG0AV3#install-winget include the following text regarding installation:

WinGet the Windows Package Manager is available on Windows 11, modern versions of Windows 10, and Windows Server 2025 as a part of the App Installer. The App Installer is a System Component delivered and updated by the Microsoft store on Windows Desktop versions

This appears to be incorrect. Since nothing I've tried - on multiple Windows 11 devices - brings up a Microsoft app called "App Installer".

Additional info.

No searching in the Windows Store will turn up the "App Installer". However, on the README page for winget, there is a LINK to the Store which DOES lead to it.

So this appears to be a Windows Store issue?

Is this something to do with Locale? I am using a UK setup, not a US one.
