Add more social media sources to the footer

I'd like to choose more social media options, but I'm not sure which dependencies are to edit:

My suggestion:

• Mastodon
• Pixelfed

At least these files are to edit:

• https://github.com/LycheeOrg/Lychee/edit/master/app/Http/Resources/GalleryConfigs/FooterConfig.php
• https://github.com/LycheeOrg/Lychee/edit/master/resources/views/includes/footer.blade.php

Which files are to edit else?

The one in resources/views/ you can forget about it, this is deprecated only for v4.

You want to modify those:

• https://github.com/LycheeOrg/Lychee/blob/master/resources/js/components/footers/LandingFooter.vue
• https://github.com/LycheeOrg/Lychee/blob/master/resources/js/components/footers/GalleryFooter.vue

You will also need to modify:
https://github.com/LycheeOrg/Lychee/blob/master/resources/js/lychee.d.ts#L212

And you will need to add two configurations via database migrations:

cat value will need to be Footer
type_range will need to be set to string
secret to 1

Yes if the value is set to secret then it is not shown in the diagnostics config.

I would suggest to put all those in a single pull request, that way it is also easier to test. :)

I understand your suggestion. But could it be a better idea that another person than me could open this single pull request? I'm not that familiar with it and don't want to create unnecessary work because of possible errors / ambiguities.

Okay, so that will not be as easy as I expected: the icons are not available on the social font... So that will need to be fixed before this can be merged. I don't have the time right now, so that will have to wait.

thanks for your feedback. Also actually this is a problem, but it also may a chance: Because I guess the actual icons in Lychee don't support dark and white themes. So it may a idea to renew the font in general in next 6.x release?

But please note - there still is one dependencie for Pixelfed not commited:
FortAwesome/Font-Awesome#14220

Mastodon is no problem - see

icon is avsilable in both versions: 5.15.4 and 6.7.2
