SafeConfigParser() (Deprecated since py3.2) incompatible with latest versions of Miniconda #10

SafeConfigParser found in versioneer.py no longer works with Miniconda >=24 as well as Miniconda 23 built for python versions >3.9

The latest version I tried that successfully worked was: Miniconda3-py38_23.11.0-2-Linux-x86_64.sh.
