Hi

So I installed this Theme via AUR (V 3.0.0) and I am using the nody-greeter for the same. While loading the theme, the user icon is not present and neither the icons for WM (Qtile) is present. Also while trying to navigate back from the user page, I get a JS Error regarding navigation.

Do I need to upgrade to version 3.2.0? If so Do I need to remove the earlier zip package present in these paths usr/share/lightdm-webkit/themes/litarvan to /usr/share/web-greeter/themes/litarvan?

It is recommended to always use the latest version, however web-greeter and nody-greeter support was introduced in November 2021, while v3.2.0 is from April 2021; therefore, you would still have issues with v3.2.0. So, I recommend to use the master branch instead.

So I cloned the repo and executed the build.sh script. I also deleted the litarvan theme installed via AUR and then extracted the new theme to /usr/share/web-greeter/themes/litarvan. In the debug menu, the themes work correctly and the icons etc everything is getting rendered correctly. But when I switched on the theme again, I get this

The settings that I have enabled is:

  • Disable Avatar Picture
  • Show 12 hr Time
  • Remove username when name is known.

I wanted to know why is the username not in the center and the issue with the missing icon.

The missing icon is, in fact, your non-existent user icon. So, this means that the Avatar Picture is not actually disabled; you could try to enable and disable it again.

In the following video, you can see my user account with an icon on the left, and another user account without an icon that, when selected, looks exactly like your image above. As you can tell, the Avatar Picture is not disabled, so I just disable it to center my username and remove the Avatar picture.
