Ok. I tried fixing this last week too, but couldn't figure out what function (no longer eltype/basistype) of a Space gives the space's domain's type parameter T.

I just added a test that's preventing hierarchicalsolvetest from passing in 0.6. This triggers the error in 0.5 too:
ERROR: AssertionError: length(data) == 2 ^ n
