do not default to one of the grid levels (L197 and L310) as we discovered this might exclude some models we are interested in, instead make it so that if multiple grid types are available, we have a preference but do not limit a modeling center if only one output is available
this might be useful feature for us, but make an optional argument to limit make_tas_archive to specific modeling groups etc
