replacing White Balance (white patch) with gray world algorithm

Hi @zvezdochiot
I was thinking about replacing the existing White Balance filter with your Grey world algorithm.
Because it is most effective in Color balancing most of the cases.
And the current white balance (white patch) will be used as a plugin.
what is your opinion?

I have tried on many images from my gallery. Most of the case it gave visually better result than white patch. Many images that have yellow tone, or blue tone was recovered by this filter.

⚠️ But GrayWorld (my version of the algorithm) does not give full use of the color range (0-255). It retains average brightness, minimum and maximum.

We need both of them. You can insert it in filters.cpp instead of using as separate plugin.

Yes, greyworld will no longer be a plugin. It will be a part of main project.
