I was invited to a friend of a friend's thesis defence a while ago and their focus was on the accessibility of data visualisations. The discussion in the thesis of designing for navigating graphical objects sequentially and designing paths through them got me thinking that this maps very nicely onto node based editing. Having tooling which facilitated traversing graphite generated graphics with screen readers and authoring better paths and annotations for people trying to build accessible graphics.
Just thought I'd invite the design team here to take a look at this thesis in case it inspired any thoughts about accessibility features in graphite.
Checkout the website for the thesis which is nicely broken out into sections that might be of particular interest to different audiences: https://www.frank.computer/blog/2026/04/defense-invite.html including "toolmakers" which seems applicable here.
