The new home Concierge prompt box renders a Composer but never wires up an onPasteFile handler, so pasting an image does nothing — while the real Concierge composer does wire it up (which is why paste works there). Reverting this large, brand-new feature PR to fix one missing prop is overkill and attaching via the "+" button already works, so the fix should roll forward by adding the paste handler.

Evidence

• The bug is a "new feature, doesn't exist in prod" per the report. PR [Home Page] Add Concierge prompt box to home For You section #98336 (merged 2026-08-25, in the 9.4.61-0 staging deploy #99466) is the only release PR that adds a new text/attachment input to the Home page: it introduces ConciergePromptBox.tsx and useConciergeAttachmentPicker.ts, and modifies SearchRouter/useAskConcierge.tsx. Timeline aligns: merged 2026-08-25, bug reported 2026-08-26.
• The reporter's "home search box" is this new home Concierge prompt box (a composer-style input rendered on the Home "For You" section). The repro contrasts it with the Concierge composer, where paste works.
• No other release PR touches a search/composer input, and the top search-router input (SearchAutocompleteInput) is a plain text TextInput with no paste/clipboard handling — pasting an image there was never a feature.

Verification

• Affected file: src/pages/home/ForYouSection/ConciergePromptBox.tsx. Its Composer at line 218 has onChangeText, onKeyPress, onSelectionChange, etc., but no onPasteFile prop (grep onPasteFile in the file returns nothing).
• By contrast the working Concierge composer wires onPasteFile in ComposerWithSuggestions.tsx#L1117-L1121 and ComposerInput.tsx#L103. onPasteFile is a supported Composer prop (components/Composer/types.ts#L46).
• Confirmed [Home Page] Add Concierge prompt box to home For You section #98336 modifies these Home files (gh pr view 98336 --json files).

Root Cause

PR #98336 built the home Concierge prompt box to accept attachments only via the "+" button (AttachmentPicker + useConciergeAttachmentPicker, sending through sendAttachment). It reuses the shared Composer but omits the onPasteFile prop, so clipboard image paste is never captured or routed to the attachment flow. The real Concierge composer supplies onPasteFile, which is why paste works there and not in the new home box.

Suggested fix (roll forward)

Pass an onPasteFile handler to the Composer in ConciergePromptBox.tsx that forwards the pasted FileObject(s) into the existing sendAttachment (or the useConciergeAttachmentPicker validation path), mirroring ComposerWithSuggestions.

Note on severity: attaching an image via the "+" button already works, so a DEMOTE is also defensible if a same-checklist fix isn't feasible. Given the trivial roll-forward fix and feature-parity expectation, roll forward is preferred over reverting the whole feature.
