The Problem

Basically there's no clean way to make use of the feature for creating random coral features (underwater building is a pain).

A Solution

Something like the current tree tool, but something to cycle between the possible variations of colors and types:

  • Blue, Yellow, Red, Purple, Pink
  • Coral Tree, Mushroom, and Claw

basically same as #2009 (and see #2009 (comment))
maybe with 1.18.2's feature-placement command we'll be able to add a proper registry and have proper entry points for configured features, but short of that this is a massive pain to implement already as every tree has to be manually mapped.

also while we're at it, related: #1846

partially covered by #2239, though notably that only has the configuredfeature registry, which means you can only generate warm ocean vegetation as a whole, not specific types. also, the coral features randomly choose a color on placement, it's not configured or anything. if at some point we expose the base feature registry you'd be able to choose specific types, but until then (which would also require somehow exposing feature configuration) this is going to have to be done.
