Here's a screenshot demonstrating the problem more clearly, taken with Complementary Reimagined r5.5.1:

This is a problem already raised in #213 (by @KitchenBoy08) and #60 (by @motyI), with the cited reason for not fixing this being that this is a side effect of Complementary's anti-light-leak implementation, to avoid sun/moonlight going between the block gaps and entering caves when it's not supposed to.
While I understand the reasoning, a different shader (BSL v10.0) does not have this issue, nor does it have any light leaking in caves. Here's a screenshot similar to the above in BSL v10.0:

I would much prefer to use Complementary as its overall presentation is-- in my opinion-- superior to BSL. I appreciate the effort you all put into this, been getting into running shaders recently and Complementary Reimagined is by far my favourite! I just hope this weird shadow issue can get fixed at some point. Hope to hear from you soon!
