face categorization under Windows; neurons disappear when partial pats set

One of my windows using student found the following bug in the face categorization sim. When they set the patterns to partial pats they got things like this.

This is what the student said. Hitting the NetView init button doesn't seem to do anything--the black square is still there. But I've found that if I open the sim enough times, there will be an instance where this problem doesn't happen. I opened 3 sim windows at once, and one of them worked perfectly fine.
