Inquiry about Using Your Datasync for Large-Scale POS System #332

I've converted this issue to a discussion as it's more appropriate location. We aren't discussing a defect in the system. I am not a retail systems architecture expert, so take this with a grain of salt. I don't make any representations on my advice here. The Datasync Community Toolkit is a good choice for the linkage between the primary terminal and POS devices. It's also a good choice for between the master database and POS devices. It is not a good choice for Master database to primary terminal. There are inbuilt facilities for peer-to-peer live database transfers using SQL Server replication. My final concern is that you are getting your data from two distinct locations (three if you count the P2P sync) which will be a mess when it comes to resolving conflicts. The only good way to check this out is to do a proof-of-concept and try it out. |

Hi @adrianhall
I hope you are doing well. I'm reaching out to you about your Datasync for a significant project we're doing.
We are currently building a Point of Sale (POS) system using .NET MAUI that will be deployed across 313 stores. Our architecture involves a complex cloud synchronization and local database strategy to ensure robust performance and reliability.
I wanted to confirm a few things:
I've attached a system architecture diagram to provide context about our sync mechanism.
Our primary requirements include:
We would greatly appreciate your insights.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
