[feature request] Allow to pull or check community folder

Hello, I just want to ask, is there any possibility to implement recursive search on .gitignore files?

Most dotnet and enterprise gitignore project file isn't searchabale as it's not on the main folder, and it's in child folder.

The extension is using github api. And looks like there is no endpoint for community folder.

Edit 1: Created a product feedback in the community discussions for updating the endpoint to include sub folders or creating a new endpoint for it.

Edit 2: Maybe we can change the extension to pull data directly from the https://github.com/github/gitignore instead of using the api
