Hello, this may be a shot in the dark but I am all out of options to get this working right.

Impression Image creator on Ubuntu at x1 speed
FDVDB ESR Patcher Gui v0.4 by Jabu
Using 3.10 and 3.11 Hybrid patch
System language English
Problem:
ISO patching and writing seems to work without issue. Validated image and even tested running the burned games through ps2 emulator reading directly from PCs disk drive. Tested on the ps2 initially with Lego Star Wars which worked and continues to work. Second tried game was Silent Hill 3 which only worked the first time. Subsequent tests caused the opening cut scene to run with increasingly more stutters until it doesn't even play at all and instead hangs on the loading screen. All other tested games seem to have issues running at all or when getting to an FMV. PS2 did start having issues with official PS2 disks in the same way, but after a laser replacement, which fixed the issue with official disks, the problem with burned disks remains unchanged.
Solutions tried:
PS2 laser replacement
Re-patching iso's
Re-burning iso's
Modifying disk read speed and running with diagnosis on
Removing all memory cards
Unplugging and plugging in controller
Burning iso's using different methods and write speeds
Playing a DVD video beforehand which played normally but didn't affect attempts with the game
Verifying PS2 and chosen game compatibility.
I don't know what else might be the issue here or what might be going wrong. What has been really confusing about it to me is the fact that the games are booting successfully, but then getting stuck on loading screens, especially when the game is loading an FMV. What is also weird is that it worked once initially, but then proceeded to never work again. Only game that continues to work is my first try with Lego Star Wars which I suspect is due to the overall small file size and low system requirements. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Let me know if further info is needed.
