Boomaga only prints from the rear tray

When using boomaga, printing onto paper is always from the rear despite having configured the printer (in my case a Canon Pixma MG6200) to print from the main tray. Playing around with the options does not change anything.
This issue does not happen when printing normally, directly to paper
