Follow-up to: https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs.es-es/issues/771
It appears that the current approach of checking for a non-null output for getStatus might be faulty.

almost 4 years later and I just ran into this... oof... definitely throws an error, and it is worse because the error has no apparent code or other indicator so we are stuck doing string matching against the error message 😢
