Customise name in alert email, without creating a new alert

I'd like to be able to customise the name of the list displayed in the alert email. Current feature displays:

In R, we have a metadata file which has custom names for each alert/list, allowing for more user-friendly names to be displayed. (Eg. separating file naming from display names).

Currently, to change the display name I would need to create a new alert with a new list name to have it displayed differently.

This will be important given government departments frequently change their names (Eg. DAWE to DAFF etc.)

Hi Andrew, I just did a quick test for this one, could you let me know if this workflow might suit you?

1. edit the list name (List info > edit > save)
2. delete the existing alert
3. create a new alert for that same list, with same drxxxxxx

ie. avoids uploading a new list, if that was the main concern?
