Unfortunately the only reason we are able to have commercial licenses on dogbolt is that we don't allow automation such as other plugins like this.

It's intended for direct human interaction on the website only.

That said, I realize we should explain that better in the FAQ, I apologize it wasn't more obvious now. Historically when people have bot'ed the interface we've simply reached out to ask them to stop lest we lose access to the commercial licenses that we have access to.

I'll be updating the dogbolt website with an explicit description of this shortly but just wanted to give you a heads up.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :-(

Hey @psifertex first of all thanks for all the work you're doing for Binja. I myself am a personal license bearer. I will immediately when I reach my desktop, take the bot down and maybe self-host dogbolt. Thanks for letting me know so politely.

Thanks so much! So sorry we can't be more flexible, just want to be careful we don't jeopardize the ability to have dogbolt at all with the commercial products we do.

For what it's worth, if you were to have an implementation that forked our runners and could be self hosted, that would be totally fine since people could put their own licenses in (depending on their individual license terms obviously and if they let other people use it, but that's already a topic the dogbolt faq covers) but unfortunately that is a lot more work both in the code and for people who want to use it.

Thanks for the quick response and being so receptive!

Hi @psifertex, the decompilation features of the bot has been taken down. Added a note and edited the code for main branch. Rest assured, I guarantee you that my bot will not query dogbolt. Have a good day ahead!
