The required color SVG transforms are currently applied as a "SVG transform" I'd prefer them "baked" into the actual SVG data to reduce potential hassles and file sizes. svgo can do this.

Using svgo via STDIN/STDOUT should work:

svgo --enable=convertTransform -i - -o - < emoji.svg
